Cidadão Quem
Cidadão Quem is a Brazilian rock band formed in the late 80s in the city of Porto Alegre. Originally, it was formed by Cau Hafner (drums), Duca Leindecker (Lead Vocal and Guitars/Keyboard) and Luciano Leindecker (Bass).
The name Cidadão Quem refers to Orson Wells movie Citizen Kane and literally translates to "Citizen Who".
In 1991, the band made it to the finals to Rock in Rio 2. First cd was released on 1993, called Outras Caras, and sold more then twenty thousand copies.
In july/95 the band began recording their second CD, A Lente Azul, on the Polygram label. In 96, they were on the Malhacao soundtrack with Os Segundos.
In 98 the band decided to launch a recording label and recorded their third album, Spermatozoon, which symbolized the return to its original spirit.
At this time, Cau Hafner was sharing the drums with Paula Nozzari.
In 99, a tragic parachute incident took away Cau's life. Paula took the drums and they signed with WEA, recording SOMA. The forthcoming album was full of original songs, but also remebered their first hits, now there was time to have their national launch.
In 2001, they recorded Girassóis da Rússia.
In 7th July 2004 they recorded their first unplugged album, Acústico no Theatro São Pedro. Also, they captured the concert on DVD. The concert sold out and they had to open a new session, which also sold out.
The band launched, in 2007, their 7th album, called 7. The band formation is the same as in the unplugged album: Duca (lead vocal and guitar), Luciano (bass and backing vocals), Claudio Mattos (drums), Fernando Peters (guitar) and Edu Bisogno (keyboards).
